Note that the server names are different from the one shown there:
POP 3 (incoming): pop.1und1.de (port 110)
IMAP (incoming): imap.1und.1.de (port 143)
SMTP (outgoing): smtp.1und1.de
To set up your email client software (Outlook, Thunderbird etc.) you got to know your
- account name (mXXXXXXXX-XXXX, example: m08157411-EXPL)
- password
- email address aka user name(<name>@loudmedicine.net, example: example@loudmedicine.net)
You need the email address and password to use the 1&1 webmail service. Note that the webmail service is in German only.
Please change the password as soon as possible, using the webmail service. Log in, select “Einstellungen bearbeiten” (modify settings) and then “Passwort ändern ...” (change password). You got to enter the old password (lmnstart) and the new one (2 times, at least 7 characters), then click “OK”.
Once you’ve changed the password, you’ll have to change it in your email client software as well. There’s no way for the admin to retrieve a lost password, so if you forget your password, contact the admin to reset it.
You may contact the admin if you encounter any problems. The contact address is admin@loudmedicine.net. Since the beloved admin is not always online it may take some time to get an answer.
You also may use the forum to contact the admin. You need an email account to register there. It’s restricted to registered users.
The space limit for your mailbox is 1 GB, so download your mails often!
